Meet EZ Livin. A well-equipped Offshore, made for time aboard.
A day on the water. A weekend at anchor.
A little more room to get away.
01WHY THIS 895
The practicality of a day boat, with the cabins, climate control and cruising systems to stay aboard.
A thoughtful combination of twin outboard power, two private cabins, a generator and air conditioning makes this NC 895 a particularly capable family cruiser.
EZ Livin has been lift-kept for the majority of her life, is smoke-free and pet-free, and has been carefully maintained according to the owner. At approximately 400 engine hours, she is offered with recent service and a useful collection of cruising equipment.

“We spent almost two weeks bringing her south along the Intracoastal Waterway.”
We bought EZ Livin near Annapolis, Maryland. On the trip south, we stayed in marinas and spent nights at anchor. Having the generator and air conditioning made a real difference while traveling with the family.
That trip showed us what the NC 895 does well. She’s manageable for a day out, with the cabins, galley and cruising systems to spend multiple days aboard.
Yamaha’s NC 895 test recorded 32.0 mph and 1.69 mpg at 4,500 RPM. The digital controls and bow thruster are also helpful around docks.

Carolina Beach: Carolina Beach harbor / mooring-field approach. Uses ICW Mile 295 plus a modeled 1.5 NM harbor leg; your actual berth may differ.
Masonboro Island: Southern sound-side beach approach near Carolina Beach Inlet. Uses a modeled southern access point and 0.8 NM access leg. The north end is a different trip; no ocean-inlet passage or landing clearance is implied.

Approximate waterway planning model, not a navigational route. Named approaches and access allowances are assumptions; replace the distance with your charted plan. Conditions, bridge waits, no-wake travel, landing permission and depth are not verified. Round trip doubles distance, not a guarantee of equal travel time.
Comfortably fits selected range
Distances are approximate planning estimates, not navigational routes. Running time assumes the selected speed for the whole trip; allow extra time and fuel for no-wake areas, current, weather, detours and stops. Check current charts, depths and conditions, and plan fuel conservatively.
Official Yamaha test. The slider uses all 11 rows of the Yamaha NC 895 / twin F200XCA bulletin, tested September 18, 2016. Yamaha tested a boat weighing 8,964 lb with two people aboard and Reliance 14½ × 15 propellers. Intermediate RPM values linearly interpolate speed and burn and are labeled “Interpolated estimate.” Calculator economy uses speed divided by burn to avoid inconsistencies from rounded published MPG. The displayed test MPG retains Yamaha’s published rounding. These figures are model reference measurements, not measurements of EZ Livin.
Operating points. Trolling labels identify the 1,000 and 1,500 RPM low-speed test rows. They are selectable examples, rather than a Yamaha trolling recommendation. The 4,000 RPM row has the best measured economy among the planing-speed rows; the highest overall MPG occurs at 1,000 RPM. The test ends at 5,950 RPM, with no extrapolation beyond it.
Estimates, with reserves. Loading, fuel level, bottom condition, propellers, wind, sea state, current and no-wake time all affect real results. Calculations assume a full tank, steady operation and the selected reserve; they exclude additional generator use. Prudent boating requires appropriate fuel reserves. This is a comparison tool, not navigation software or professional voyage planning.
